It’s better in 3D

Now in 3D – the end of year graduation show for Central’s Product Designers is currently open to the public at The Colonnade, 388 Hay Street in Subiaco.

The exhibition represents the culmination of knowledge and skills developed as part of the Advanced Diploma of Product Design and Innovation at Central.

This course is arguably the one for which the Institute could make a claim to be the nation’s leaders.  Year after year, the work of Central graduates features in nationwide exhibitions ahead of any other training provider.  Student work has been exhibited in both London and New York exhibitions and attracted the attention of some big names in the design industry.

One graduate with work on display, Callum Campbell, maintains a passion for furniture, lighting and product design and found the training very rewarding.

“The course really encourages excellence and pushes its students to aim high and promote their skills. We have had the opportunity to exhibit and promote our work all over Australia and even in London, all of which wouldn’t have been possible without the help from our lecturers and other Central staff”, said Callum.

The show also features the award winning Manifest Side Table designed by Chris Vincent.  This piece won the Design Concept Award at Vivid in Melbourne earlier in the year. The table includes three USB ports that are subtly contained in cavities, enabling charging cables to be kept out of sight.
