The 2014 WA Training Awards was another great night with Central Institute of Technology picking up a major award at the annual gala event.
Training Minister, The Hon Dr Kim Hames MLA attended the event which is hosted by the Department of Training and Workforce Development.
The WA Training Awards recognise and reward outstanding achievements of apprentices, trainees and vocational students, and the contribution to training made by trainers, training organisations and employers.
For the second year in a row Central was named International Training Provider of the Year. Consecutive wins in this category serving as a notable, independent endorsement of the calibre of Central’s International portfolio.
An international focus is an integral part of the Institute, which has been delivering training to foreign students for over 20 years.
This is the fourth time Central has won this award in five years.
“Winning the award for International Training Provider of the Year two years in a row and four out of five times overall is an outstanding result and testament to the quality of training and student services that Central delivers,” said Central Managing Director Neil Fernandes.
“In a difficult climate for international training, Central has maintained our numbers and continues to attract students from over 84 countries. This latest win confirms our standing as the WA benchmark in this field.”
