Central women make it happen

We celebrate International Women’s Day 2015 (8 March) with a look back at some of our favourite blog stories featuring Central staff and students who #makeithappen.

Central sculpture lecturer Susan Flavell won the Bankwest People’s Choice Award, for her work, ‘The Shimmer’.

Central art students Marcia Espinosa Chellew and Marina Kaillis have been selected for PICA’s upcoming Hatched exhibition.

Central Fashion and Textile Design lecturer Ingrid Zurzolo and local artist Tarryn Gill collaborated on the PICAnauts swimwear for the Rottnest Channel Swim.

For the first time in Australian football history, two females, Central graduates Lauren French and Sally Boud, were officials at the WAFL grand final.

Former Central graduate Kirstin Casey is using the skills she learnt at Central to forge a career in the screen and media industry.

Experienced social worker and Central staff member Lara Sappal received industry recognition with her win at the 2014 WA Social Worker of the Year Awards.
